Term:                           40 hours a week

Compensation:             $ 25-27/hour DOE

Position Overview

 Neighborhood House is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development & Grants Associate to support grant management, donor stewardship, fundraising operations, and database administration. This role manages a portfolio of up to 100 foundation, corporate, and government grants annually, including grant writing, reporting, tracking, and compliance. They are also responsible for stewardship and reactivatio

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who can manage multiple deadlines, maintain accurate records, collaborate across departments, and build positive relationships with donors and community partners.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Write all grants and reports for foundation, corporate, and government grants.
  • Manage grant calendars, submission timelines, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate program data, budgets, statistics, and supporting materials for grant submissions and reports.
  • Actively participate in donor stewardship and engagement efforts.
  • Generate reports, mailing lists, and database queries; Bloomerang experience preferred.
  • Assist with social media and donor recognition content highlighting community impact.
  • Attend grant meetings and maintain communication with funders and partners.
  • Organize development files, tracking systems, and departmental records.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Development Department.
  • Represent Neighborhood House professionally with donors, volunteers, partners, and community members.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, nonprofit management, business, English, or related field.
  • Proven track record of at least two (2) years writing and managing foundation, corporate, and government grants, including grant reporting and compliance management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, donor database systems, and general office technology.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and manage data accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information responsibly.
  • Spanish-speaking proficiency preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a Child Care Licensing background check.
  • Must be available to work on-site.
